A film about the most mysterious place on Earth - Area 51 - will be made. The creator of "Jurassic World" will direct

After working on the blockbuster "Jurassic World" series, Colin Trevorrow has found a new project he would like to take on. Little is known about the production from Paramount Pictures. It is to be a thriller devoted to the famous Area 51. The film does not have an official title yet, and one of its producers will be Ryan Reynolds.

The new film by Colin Trevorrow will be set in the late 1980s. It will follow a local Las Vegas news reporter who is the first to report on Area 51. The thriller will be produced for Paramount Pictures by Trevorrow's production company Metronome and Maximum Effort , co-owned by Ryan Reynolds . The screenplay was written by Thomas and William Wheeler.

The production will tell the story of how, in the late 1980s , KLAS-TV journalist George Knapp interviewed aviator John Lear , who claimed that the United States government had a spaceship and extraterrestrial bodies. It was Lear who introduced the journalist to Bob Lazar , with whom Knapp spoke in 1989. Knapp claimed to have worked on UFOs at Area 51. This is how the public first learned about the site.

Built in 1955, Area 51 is a secret American military base where new technological solutions are tested. The airspace above the base is one of the most heavily guarded areas in the entire United States . The base has one of the longest runways in the world, measuring 9.5 kilometers. The CIA officially confirmed the existence of the base only in August 2013. Due to the secret nature of this place, there are many conspiracy theories associated with it. The most famous of them concerns research conducted there on extraterrestrial beings coming from an object that was supposed to crash near Roswell in 1947.
